FLYING STUDENT
About the Program
The Master's program in Applied Informatics is a continuation of the Bachelor study program, allowing students to specialize in one of four appealing tracks: programming and design of information systems, computer graphics, artificial intelligence, and software development for education. The curriculum includes elective and optional subjects in diverse areas like graphics, bioinformatics, web technology, cognitive science, and robotics. Our faculty emphasizes cultivating students' critical thinking and learning abilities, enabling them to comprehend algorithms, systems, and technologies encountered in the commercial sphere. This broader foundation adds value to the graduates, fostering a creative, forward-thinking, and comprehensive approach to problem-solving. Regular updates with articles focused on current technologies and applications ensure that our graduates maintain a competitive edge in the job market.
Knowledge that Gratuate aquires
The primary study program comprises a mandatory foundation and an optional specialization (blocks S1, S2, S3, S4, S5).
Optional specializations include:
S1 - Computer graphics and vision (a specialization within the Informatics discipline)
S2 - Artificial intelligence (a specialization within the disciplines of Informatics and Data Science)
S3 - Programming and creation of information systems (incorporating subjects from various disciplines: Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems)
S4 - Creating software for education (a specialization within the Informatics discipline)
S5 - Software Engineering (a specialization within Software Engineering)
Simultaneously, the main study program empowers students to, based on their preferences, select subjects from other study blocks in addition to those within the chosen specialization block.

Where You Can Work after Graduation
The graduate of the Master's program in Applied Informatics is well-equipped, both theoretically and practically, for various professional paths. They can work adeptly in developing extensive software products across diverse domains, including graphic and visual applications, artificial intelligence applications, and educational applications. Additionally, they are prepared for roles as researchers in basic and applied research facilities, assistants in informatics-focused universities, and pursuing further studies at the third level of higher education in Applied Informatics or related fields. Professions aligned with their competencies encompass Information Systems Architect, Information System Developer, Computer Graphics Specialist Developer, Data Scientist, Developer of Intelligent Process Control Systems, IT Analyst, and roles as researchers and assistants in IT departments at various universities.
Double Degree Opportunitie
While this Program does not offer a formal double degree, students have the exciting opportunity to gain international study experience through programs like Erasmus+ and other global partnerships. With the chance to spend one or more semesters abroad, students can immerse themselves in diverse academic environments and potentially receive scholarships to partially cover associated costs. It's a unique chance for valuable international exposure, even though it doesn't result in obtaining a second degree, as is the case with formal Double Degree programs.
